Freya has made it, if unconvincingly again. Some very long games - the match took 2hrs 41 mins for two 'short' sets. She won 6/16 BPs - so her opponent saved 10! - and she saved 8/11 of those she faced. A good junior up next who beat the q15 seed easily. Freya may need to serve a bit better tomorrow to come through.

In the doubles, Lissey and Freya are 3rd seeds, play a Korean pair first up.
Maia is playing with Berfu Cengiz (TUR) against Hanna Chang (USA) and Emily Fanning (NZL), who put out Freya and Lissey quite easily last week.
Poor Freya, it's just not happening, and obviously hasn't for quite some time. She'll no doubt be overtaken by a fair few in the general grass WC pecking order as well.
