Great results here Tough for Freya next up, but Maia has a much easier match, and I rate Lissey to have a good go.

R32: Alicia BARNETT (GBR) 453 beat Kotomi TAKAHATA [Q] 651 (CH:562) 6-0 6-3
R32: Maia LUMSDEN (GBR) [3] 312 beat Chieh-Yu HSU (TPE) 492 (CH:224 April 14) 5-7 6-3 6-4

R16: Freya CHRISTIE (GBR) 545 vs Su Jeong JANG (KOR) [4] 329 (CH:120 June 17)
R16: Alicia BARNETT (GBR) 453 vs Xiaodi YOU (CHN) [5] 369 (CH:295 July 18)

Lissey and Freya as 2nd seeds won their first round doubles too against a Korean WC pair 6-2 6-1

They will play Hanna Chang (USA) and Emily Fanning (NZL) next.

Managed to miss this one. I'm particularly pleased for Maia. She's had some unfortunate draws recently, but before today, she'd lost in R1 of all 7 2019 events she entered outside of Shrewsbury W60 and Glasgow W25 where she reached the QF and SF, so hopefully she can have another extended run here.

Good to see Alicia continue to get main draw wins.

I cant help think there should be a comedy sketch with Alicia's opponent.

A: Did you know Alicia Barnett is playing you tomorrow?
B: She's playing me?
A: No, she's not playing me she's playing you.
B: I never said she was playing you.
A: No, I said she was playing you you said she was playing me.
etc.
etc.

Only 1 out of 3 here today. Lissey was close but not as close as I thought she might be.

R16: Maia LUMSDEN (GBR) [3] 312 vs Se-Hyun KIM (KOR) [Q] UNR/560 (CH:1010) 6=2 6-1

QF: Maia LUMSDEN (GBR) [3] 312 vs Leonie KUNG (SUI) [IR] 493/94 (CH:413 July 18)

Maia's result is not showing in livescores, the same as Heather. After digging around, it is showing in the results page though, and unfortunately Maia has lost - by the same margin Heather beat Kung last week. I thought Maia might do better than this, since she good do with another good points counter but not to be and just +4 for the week as she has 5 pts coming off from Korea last year.

QF: Maia LUMSDEN (GBR) [3] 312 lost to Leonie KUNG (SUI) [IR] 493/94 (CH:413 July 18) 4-6 2-6
