Any knowledge on why Beth and Olivia have withdrawn? That's rather disappointing to hear, especially when Olivia is still making her comeback from her lengthy injury break.
Mandy's next opponent, Parrizas-Diaz is 27, but has just reached her CH this month, so seems to be doing some late developing. Mandy will certainly not be favourite for this match, but a good test and a free hit for her.
Out of interest have just looked at the Spanish hard court entry list for Week 22, where Mandy is currently 4th on the ITF Reserved Alt list, and 11th on the real Alt list. Her current live ranking for the week after next of around 601 as noted above, would have Mandy as 1st on the Alt list. Sam Murray is currently last on the qual list with WR5 70.

I know at Bolton, Olivia said she was she not fully over the injury, but equally Beth has not played much and has struggled later in the match.
First set gone 2-6. Not surprising but a good test for Mandy. Parrizas-Diaz is around the level Mandy was at when she originally got injured a couple of years ago now.
Mandy lost comfortably enough in the end. Still it is a week that she will remember fondly and marks the start of her real comeback, especially when she sees the WTA ranking of around 600 against her name in 10 days time. She is now 10th alt for the Spanish hard court W25 in two weeks time (well, week after next). The tournament is just outside Barcelona where I believe she is based (trains a lot there anyway), so suspect that if she turns up, she will get a QWC if necessary and will play.
