Mandy takes the match on her second match point 6-3 6-1.
That's really going to boost her ranking.

Up to about 670 now week after next. Is now on 17 pts, same as Victoria Allen.

[bold prediction]She'll be WR 200 by year end, mark my words.[/bold prediction]

Wow, a great first set from Emily against Ozgen. Went 2-0 up, then pulled back to 2-2, went to 3-3, then 3 games in a row for Emily to win the set 6-3..

Beth and Liv make the SF with a 43 minute 0 & 1 win. Emily and Sofia are on later.

Em is now 6-3 4-2*

Wow, a bit of a renaissance from pretty much out of nowhere. Beat 2nd seed Ozgen 6-3 6-4, who's usually very good in Obidos, and into another QF.

That's a fabulous win for Em.
Doubles to come - I just hope Sofia is OK - there was a MTO near the end of her singles, might not have been her though.

And I forgot, she plays Mandy, so a guaranteed SF there.

That must be Em's best win in ranking terms for quite some time?

Suspect Mandy will win the QF, and continue her welcome march back up the rankings

I don't have the data, but certainly it's her best win I can recall for at least a year now...  Good for Em's ranking too. She will move up to likely 473 next week, but as you've noted loses 18 points the week afters, so now this is down just to -9 and she'll likely fall to about 504, still a healthy improvement on her current ranking of 532.

Depends if you ignore last weeks win by RET over WR211 Bolkvadze
Before that you need to go back to Sept 2015 to see her earn a last top 300 win

Mandy vs Em in a 25K QF. I'll take that

Well done.
