If anyone's watching the match, is the pundit Dutch because she's really only talking about Bertens? When Jo broke in the second set and then took the second set she didn't say a single word. Odd.
Anyway, well done Jo again to get back into the match.
I'm watching on BT and that's Annabel Croft, but I'd imagine the person you'll be referring to will be Sophie Amiach who's French.
Yes you're right, the other commentator called her Sophie. Well I hope Annabel has noticed Jo is playing, lol!
Wow. Watched that on my small iPad with my 96yr old mother !! She loved it apart from the fact she thinks they should all wear whites and does go on a bit about that Lol ! Seriously though, magnificent from Jo.
Absolutely outstanding, up to 26 in the live rankings and amazingly would be well into the 17-24 seed range at the FO if she can get her 11th 2019 clay win.
A brilliant final set from Jo, just magnificent! What a difference renewing her coaching team has made this year... and Jo has rediscovered both motivation and imagination I feel. She made some comment earlier this tournament that nothing really had changed for her this year compared with last, when her poor clay court performances were highlighted, but I think she's doing the improvements to her team and her own game and injustice saying that. Lovely to see.
Bloody fantastic! Who would've thought we'd ever see Jo in a Premier 5 final on CLAY!? Go her. Beating Sloane, Venus and Bertens en route to a clay final is impressive.... can she lift the title? Might well be a rematch of her previous final with Sakkari...
What a great result. I've been out all morning, but came back in time for the end of the second set - and never doubted the result from there on.
Jo showing as WR26 on OER live rankings. (Sakkari will overtake her again if she wins tonight)
