RE: 2019 Grass Court Season Entry Lists

Interesting list of names, and quite a poser. There are a few players who seem to be in good form right now and I wouldn't be at all surprised if one of Sam, EWS and Lissey get a QWC, although Tara's form has been erratic and might rule her out. But perhaps Sam will get one in Manchester - Emily is back in London. If Eden and Beth play league tennis in France today, I would assume they are not in the picture. Not sure when Emma R will be back competing after finishing her GCSE's.

Neither Eden nor Beth turned up for League tennis today in France so that might be relevant info re Surbiton plans.....

I've just seen a clip of Beth practising with Laura Deigman at Surbiton.
Emily W-S is playing on grass this week - but I'm not sure where.

Good point about Vic. But she does seem to like Surbiton (and comes from the south-east, doesn't she?)

There's a good chance that Amelia Rajecki gets one too - having just won the Tier 1 event and will be playing in the quali WC play-offs, and still a junior. Although she also has already had a couple, hasn't she?

I was wondering about the US college players (Nell Miller played a lights out match last year)...... Georgie Axon always used to be a favourite but hasn't been a star at college from what I know.

I was hoping Eden Richardson might turn up somewhere? And maybe Emily Arb?

Nell Miller is lined up to play in Cancun this coming week... On the qualifying entry list at least.

Emily's on the Surbiton alt list too. Hope she and Sofia play doubles at least there.

Might not have been Laura Deigman - hard to tell on my phone

Harriet has posted on twitter that she's still not recovered from her foot injury, so not yet ready to play.

I think the Pitaks will get a doubles card.

The Pitaks appear to be in Florida training with Michael Joyce.

Eden and Beth may well get a doubles WC, since they are both on site. Not really sure who would be in line for the other two - Naomi and whoever she plays with perhaps.

With either singles or doubles ranking being used for the entry, there could be a few from the main draw taking part.

Does that mean Jay isn't getting a MDWC?

No, it means he isn't arrogant and assumes he will get one.

Vondrousova has withdrawn from Notts, not sure if that benefits any GB players.

Not directly, but possibly indirectly. Rogers will now get in the main draw using her PR and Raina will enter quals, but I guess an in form seed is being replaced by someone not firing after a lengthy lay off, so the draw becomes a bit weaker and possibly more chance of an extra GB main draw or Q win with the knock on effects.

Saw that on TF and was concerned with no Jodie as that was the only name I noticed missing (thought it might have been updated after today or something), but if Maia is not on as well, then that's different.
