Jodie now *2-4 down, but I can imagine her being frustrated:

Held to 15
Had 40-15* and A-40*, but couldn't break
Held to 30
Had 40-15* again, but couldn't break
Broken to 0, so 8 points lost in a row
Had 40-15* and A-40*, but couldn't break

So she's had 8 BPs, but finds herself a break down, and faces another break point here...

And is broken again. 2-5*. Jodie 0/8 on BPs, opponent 2/2

Not going well. Greek held to love and has just broken to love to start the second set, and being 0-40* up, she's won at least 13 points in a row.

Make that 14.

2-6 *0-2. It's also 7 games in a row for her.

Edit - it's actually 16 points in a row as Jodie had 30-0* at one stage, so a hold from there and 3 successive love games.

Jodie broke back. 2-2 in the second. Let's hope the charge is on!

That points losing streak was ended at 17 and the game streak at 7 as it's back on serve now. *2-2.

Fingers crossed. She did lose the first set 2-6 of her R1 last week before coming back there and reaching the SF's, so let's hope it's an omen.

It's looking like it's going to be one of those days. *2-4. I guess quite similar to the Noel defeat in Sunderland which followed a very successful prior weak where she went deep in single's and doubles.

She obviously can't win them all and only a few months ago she would be ranked around the same as the Greek, perhaps even lower, but I didn't really see too much in Papamichails recent results to think she would be this much of a threat.

Not over yet as Jodie holds, but still a long way back. 3-4*

Not to be, she saved 3 successive MPs in the final game, but not a 4th, lost 2-6 4-6.

Possibly a slight blow to her Wimbledon MDWC chances. Looks like she'll play Jerusalem W25 the week after next, and before the picks she has a 5, 1 and 1 counter that she will look to replace at Jerusalem and presumably Surbiton and Manchester/Nottingham, to further improve her ranking and ideally get inside the Q cut off, so that if they want to reward her at Wimbledon, it'll have to be a MDWC.

Thought that was the interest* in Monzon over, but forgot about Emily and she is a double break up on her seeded opponent. *4-1. Stojanovic has just got on the board.

*singles anyway...

Well the committee are very unlikely to be using a WC for KB (very doubtful she will be fit) so...

True. The latest update doesn't sound great, they may hold another WC back for after Ilkley, just in case, but probably best to assume she won't be playing and if she does, it'll be a bonus.

However, even without Katie B, I still think there's around 10 realistic potential candidates looking for 8 WC spots, and that doesn't even include Emma.
