3rd game 2nd set, Jodie receiving was 0-40 down. She won the next 5 points to break, *2-1. She's not only a good fighter with a strong shot, but she's also making few errors, reminiscent of Gabi in her successful run early last year. But Jodie hits the ball harder and that's a big advantage. She varies her shot placement too so she is not predictable, which is also good to see.
The streams don't seem to be showing the scores. There's someone on an adjacent court screaming loudly over every point won, think it's in the Bucsa Bolkvadze match.

Yeah, that was her first event for about 5 months. I guess (assuming Jodie comes through here), even if Stoj does come through here then 2 matches in a might bode well for Jodie in a potential semi final later today. Still hoping for the all GB showdown though.
That was meant to be quoting paulisi regarding his Bolton strap post.
She was actually the 8/15 fave to win but it's another higher ranked win and another against someone who will be in and around the Wimbledon quals, showing she is playing at least at that level and therefore IMO should be given the opportunity to go one step further at Wimbledon.
What a fantastic first 4 months it has been for her and her 3rd 29/30 point haul of the season already.
