This doubles final is an excellent standard/watch, kudos to all four players.

Still no breaks and 3-2*
Katy's service games are averaging 10 points a game, whilst Badosa is averaging 6.

Katy is certainly 'playing ball'

And she's getting a lot of support from the crowd too, which is great considering she's in Spain, playing a Spanish girl.

Mind you, Katy's sheer blinkin' grit always endears her to the crowd - that 'get' at 30-30 was just amazing.

Imagine the top seed is still well favourite though...

ADD: just crossed with the addict - and, yes, great minds and all that - the crowd's great

Katy finally gets a break point in the twelth game - but it is saved, as is the next. But Badosa double faults on the third, so Katy takes the first set 7-5

BTW, Badosa is not just Spanish - she lives around 50 miles away on the coast, so hence the wildcard for the local girl.

Three breaks in a row, and it's *3-1.

She's had either a QWC or MDWC into WTA Madrid for the past 4 years and as she wasn't in the initial entry list for this W60, I assume she thought she would have had one this year as well, and when she didn't, requested a late MDWC here.

We've seen a set and 4-2 leads evaporate before, so hopefully she can get over the line. Would be a superb end to a stunning week.

She's 'on the hill' now, come on Katy!

I tell you what, you don't half miss a scoreboard when it's not there, you can't really dip in and out of the match. There was one earlier in the week.

I'm watching on my tablet, with the forum and the scoreboard in separate windows on my laptop !
