I didn't expect to see Topalova beating the seeded Indian, who I see retired 4-3 down in the final set. That's another name I remember as someone on here made a great pun about hoping she'd topple over  when facing a Brit at the back end of last year (she didn't). Thought it was Katy for some reason, but turns out it was Freya.

That is a boost for Alicia though, it will still likely be tough, but when she lost 2 of the sets 6-1 and 6-0, she obviously had difficulties against that particular opponent.
