I dont know what Dan is going on about but I wish he would shut up.

According to reports he claimed that Fokina's coach was constantly swearing at him.
Or his Spanish is not too good. I agree with Julia that there's a lesson for Dan in learning how to channel his emotions differently whilst he is playing. He doesn't endear too much at the moment, but I like watching him, so hope he does get a bit more perspective.
Didn't realise Fokina was ranked that high. Would have almost certainly got a Wimbledon MDWC (instead of a QWC) had he have been a similar ranking this time last year. Think he was around 400 or so then, a bit like Tseng this year.
I know Dan has exited in the qualies but he was here playing singles. So I don't really agree about changing the thread title to "doubles''.
I did it because we have two pairs in the doubles & once the comments on Dan's exit have died away, I expect the posts to relate to solely to their fortunes.

Me neither. And what happens if a LL situation came about? I don't think threads have been changed before to show doubles. If that were the case the current Barcelona thread should've been changed after Cam lost in R1, no?

Those threads also exist as a record so please at least change it back when it is over.

Re "a record" I mean that if someone wants to look back at something to do say with Dan in Estoril eg. wasn't that the tournament where he went off on one claiming he was being sworn at, then they are likely to be try to look beyond a thread entitled "doubles".
And there can be many reasons for wanting to check back on someone in singles or doubles ( though actually indeed possibly while the tournament is still on ).
So I just think it is simpler and clearer to keep "doubles" to threads referring only to our doubles competitors, either because we have no singles competitors or there are seperate singles and doubles threads as we sometimes have, though generally for bigger tournaments.
Like so many folk, I very much appreciate what you do with setting up threads, draws and results, but in this case just saying ...
Maybe poor Jaggy is looking for info on Dan here but can't bring himself to look in a "doubles" thread

I'm not a mind-reader, Indy, & it had never occurred to me that people would use this message board to check on how the early stages of a particular tournament unfolded when I personally would go straight to Google (or, more probably, Steve G), so I appreciate your explanation & will make the change you have requested.
