Came home to find Jo advantage 5-6 down in 2nd set. Left it for a little while to find  Jo had won the tie-break and saw her go 2-0 down in 3rd set. Left it again to see Jo 2-3 down in 3rd set.Pleasantly surprised to see on BBC results that Jo had won the match. This was Jo's 8th main draw singles win in WTA main tournaments..

Any win on clay is a good win, and from what I saw she seemed to be moving ok on the clay - to be honest, this looked like her recent level of play. I only saw bits of the match though.

Next up, Bogdan. Lost 8 straight matches to start the season and although has played her into a little form, a very good chance to get back to back wins on clay.

Bogdan 's losing  run was on hard courts. She has a useful record on clay courts. Apart from beating Cornet in Rabat, she ran Martic close in Istanbul. She also beat Vondrousova in the French Championships last year and has career wins on clay against Sevastova and Cirstea.

Jo's match should be starting soon. Hope it's a bit more clinical today (in Jo's favour).
