Week 18 - WTA International ($250K) Rabat, Morocco - Clay

Jo seems to be really battling well right now and her attitude is excellent. Lots to look forward to. I hope she reaches top 20 again by year end

Indeed. Add such fight to that ability she has proved in the past and is always there waiting to be refound, then I am surprised that some have seemed to so much doubt her chances of climbing majorly back up the rankings again.

And my previous doubts about these doubts lay just in c'mon she was WR 4 and is hardly ancient.

Now not saying she'll get there again, maybe nowhere near, but she must have a big potential upside to her current position.

Shows what a coaching change can do. Never understood why Jo stuck with Joyce for the whole of last year. It was obvious almost from the get-go that he was bringing nothing to the partnership.

You have to give  the coach a bit of a chance otherwise it would be like football where you sack the manager after the first defeat. Having said that the choice of Mike Joyce was never rated in the first place.  Mike Joyce didn't survive very long with Eugenie Bouchard either. As an aside one saw that a British coach Tom Hill was helping Maria Sakkari on Saturday. Similarly Elina Svitolina uses British coaches. Why are they not helping our players? I'm sorry to say that I groan when I see Jeremy Bates coaching Katie Boulter. What has he achieved as a coach?
