Sadly Laura has withdrawn from the tournaments the following week too - given at Fed Cup she said she was definitely playing in 2 weeks (i.e. 6/5) but was waiting to see where she would get in, something is definitely up. Whatever pretty sure to fall off the WTA rankings in mid May now and its difficult to see how she will get back on even if she wants to play as with no ranking of any type she will be right at the bottom of any entry lists including the 15k ones.
She will lose her ranking for the entries to the grass 100Ks, but will undoubtedly get at least QWCs into 2 of the 3 grass 100Ks, and maybe all 3. She will "just" need to win 1 of those qualifying matches, or get 1 MDWC, to get her ranking back for entries after Wimbledon. So if there is ever a good time to lose her ranking, it is probably when she does as the availability of WCs during June won't affect her chances to play. .
Katie's also out of all the ITF events the following week too, having initially been entered in at least 3 events. I will look to post an initial week 20 women's entry list later today, as long as my internet is working. Am travelling in Asia and it's a bit touch and go where I am now.
I've updated the women's list here now.

Not affecting any Brits, but I assume the WCM that has appeared against a couple of Spaniard's names in the W25 Monzon qualifying list means they have main draw WCs? I've not seen that before.
Emilie Lindh seems to have pulled out of a lot of draws recently.
Pity when after all the problems she had getting into draws last year with no WTA ranking or national ranking, now with an ITF ranking that has been even getting her into main draws she hasn't been able to compete for whatever reasons.
Latest updates now included, Withdrawals have rather thinned the GB entrants out now. Will be interested to see if Gabi still plays next week, with her switch back to hard in Spain.
Emilie has been affected by injury and seems not to have recovered yet unfortunately
Maia and Freya have pulled out of Obidos main draw and qualifying respectively.
Lindh and Fischer have done exactly the same in Cancun W15
That's really disappointing, but the plus side is that Mandy is now 3rd alt, so once WCs are awarded she must stand a good chance of getting in?
She's effectively next to benefit from a withdrawal or somebody above her getting a WC, as the last two spots in the main draw will always be filled by two players in the qualifying list, and whose spots will be in turn be filled by the first two alts. There are three Portuguese above her, so I would have thought at least one of them would get a WC.
