No, the FQR matches are only tomorrow, Ace, as there is both a men's and women's tournament happening at the same venue. I suspect Lissey may struggle in her FQR match, as it's likely to be much harder than today.
I'd like to think Alicia could/should beat the Indian. Obviously Alicia's poor 2019 form has been well documented, but the opponent is arguably in worse form. She'd only won 1 of her 6 matches this year before today (and that 18 year old opponent ended her own 8 match losing streak last week) and she also lost to EWS in her final match of 2018. Bavisetti seemingly used less energy in their respective Q1 matches, but the bonus extra day will hopefully play more into Alicia's hands.
Both are 26 at the end of the year.

Well that's good news and quite strange given the opponent only conceded 3 games in her win yesterday. Alicia was a 4/11 favourite, but then she was also 1/6 to beat Holly the other week...
Mixed bag in terms of qualifying placement, could face top seed Savinykh or a couple of other seeds. There's also a local WC, an IR and the person who got the SE after Freya withdrew.
Ah, only just realised it's a Kazakh WC and not a 'local WC', local enough being the next country along, but might be a bit better than your typical home recipient. I see one Uzbek WC has just lost 0-6 1-6 in the main draw.
Still, her 2019 results don't seem particularly great and it's not an intimidating JCH, so you'd like to think Alicia should win this. Far better than drawing a seeded Kostic and particularly Savinykh.
Yes, extremely unlucky that both SE spots look to have been taken and not one withdrawal from the 13 players above her. Sometimes being top seed in qualifying can be advantageous like if say someone like Harriet just missed out on a weak WTA international draw and had a very good chance of 12 points for 1 Q win, but when you haven't won a single ranking point all year and have to win 2 matches in one day just to get a point, this isn't one of them. Sneaking in last minute and drawing a MDWC would have been much preferred, but hopefully she can come through.
Obviously work to do, but this turned out far better than I was expecting this time yesterday. Not only did she not have 2 matches in one day, she only played one Q match, had a day off and then ended up drawing a MDWC after all

It'll be the young Indian 4th seed Yadlapalli in the 2nd round if Alicia gets past her WC. Yadlapalli beat Susanne Celik in R1 who was using her PR of 179 to enter here. I'm not really familiar with her, but a quick look at her record shows she was ranked 180 in December 2016, but didn't play again until June 2018 then largely played 15ks until the end of the year and then had another 5 month layoff, coming back earlier this month. Her PR obviously didn't qualify her as a seed as she is top of the 'Acceptance List' on the ITF site.
Alicia 2/9 to beat her 3/1 WC. I doubt she'll be that low odds (pre match) to win a 25k main draw match for a long time, so yes, let's hope she can take advantage and return at least 6 valuable points this week.
If Alicia is going to get her first main draw win this year, she's going to have to do it in 3. Drops the first set on a tie-break 6-7(4). 3 breaks each.
Does anyone know anything about the unranked Russian SE, Anastasia Zakharova? I see she has just demolished the 7th seed, WR347, with a double bagel.

I don't, but I'm now interested. Just turned 17 the other month and has already had a lot of success this year, opponent only won 19 points all match and it's not as if the opponent is bang out of form and clinging to a ranking mainly earned 9 months ago or something as she's done pretty well this year and beat the likes of Zanevska and Chwalinska in recent months.
