After a bit of a hiccup when he served for it at 5-2 in the third:

Yes Liam! Caught end of the 2nd and then the 3rd set top stuff. Stuck in there and got the job done. First challenger semi final since January 2018.should move him just outside the top 300.

Great fight from Liam to come back from a break down in that final set. So pleased for him.

James wins 6-3 6-4. One break of serve in each set. I'm not used to this holding serve thing - a WTA match I was watching earlier literally had 11 breaks in a row to start the match, ha.

Just checked the draw and it's a shame (IMO) that James and Liam don't play each other in the semi final. Obviously in an ideal world they'd meet in the final, but given current form leading into this, both have done far better than expected, and exceeded their seeding/ranking and it would have given us a guaranteed finalist and also a nice Saturday nights viewing.

Ward to face 14th seed Rola, Broady to possibly play top seed Bublik who plays later.

those are great results, very well done to both. James Ward is up to 177 live rankings, a win this week might take him above Jay again in the mid 150's. Counting chickens...

For Liam, one more win would take him top 300 again.

Whilst I agree with AV, lets see them both take a win and make an all GB final why not!
