So just the one pair standing in Hungary. Dom and Bopanna dont seem to have hit the ground quickly as a pair and with Skugor doing well last week, it may say something about Dom's form more than anything else.

SF:  (ALT) André Begemann & Ernests Gulbis (GER/LAT) UNR (164+0) vs (3) Ken Skupski & Neal Skupski CR 89 (56+33)

The defeat of Dom & "Bops" means that Ken & Neal are the only seeded pair left in the competition.  I hope that's not the kiss of death!

I hope that Ken and Neal have too much partnership nous for the rather flashy Gulbis and Begemann. Nature of the opponents game suggests this will be another MTB toss up, but hope Ken and Neal can get the job done!

I think they are on around noon our time

There you go! Good win for the Skupski's. Daniel and Koolhof or the Germans who beat Bambo and Jonny up next

Tough match, the guys will be underdogs. As mentioned before I think koolhof is underestimated and will be a top tenner in future and Daniel is strong. A win for Ken will see him go top 50 again and above Jonny so lots to play for

And we have our second lot of doubles s of the week:

Final:  (3) Ken Skupski & Neal Skupski CR 89 (56+33) defeated Marcus Daniell & Wesley Koolhof (NZL/NED) CR 95 (69+26) by 3 & 4

That looks a reasonably convincing win against dangerous opponents:  neither man had his service broken.  smile  Fingers crossed that Jamie & Bruno can follow Ken & Neal into the winners' enclosure later.
