Week 17 - Challenger ($54,60+H) - Ganjiagang New Area International - Nanchang, China (clay)

Jay gets broken but breaks striaight back, slightly fortunately as Patael has a double fault and makes the firstunforced error I've seen him make so far. But Jay's serve under pressure again 4-4, 15-30.

Jay gets broken again with Patael showing more aggression in the important points. 5-6.

Jay loses. Bit disappointing but hopefully he'll learn from this match.

He is still 100 in the race, if you had offered this to him at the start of the year, he would have taken it?

Agree with all, incl Vandy (!), it is hard to follow up a win the next week, Jay carries on the clay in a couple of weeks in Uzbekhistan and Kazakhstan, still like his strategy and hope we will see him reach top 150 by end of Wimbledon.
