Joe had entered with Ram and Klaasen with Venus, so not sure what happened with their respective partners. Joe is also entered with Ram in Barcelona next week, so we'll see if he turns up there.

No idea. Same question could be asked about Michael Venus, Klaasen's regular doubles partner. Doubt it's a rankings issue (Ram's N° 20 & Venus N° 14).

In the original confirmed list Joe was with ram and klaasen with venus so both must have with drawn with injuries causing Joe and klaasen to pair up.
