That's the App playing up. It's been doing that alot recently. Though I jest checked mine and it's Ok at the moment.  Try shutting the app down and then re opening.

I set all.

Jay must have heard me. Some lovely returns to Duckworth's feet earn Jay a break. 2-0 up in the final set.

Blowing a gale again in China and the court is a real dust storm at times but Jay now *4-0 up in the decider.

Quite a battle for that winning point - SEVEN BPs saved!

I wonder if that was why my live stream kept slipping slightly out of focus & then froze & wouldn't go to full screen!  disbelief

Should take Jay back inside the top 200.

Jay seems to cope very well with the wind, so maybe better if it keeps blowing.

If it was based purely on ranking, Jays matches are getting easier!

Well done and good luck in the semis.

Agree, he does cope well, but inhaling it is very unhealthy I would have thought.

Certainly horrid conditions. I have to agree with Julia's comment about Duckworth doing a proper job of trashing his racket in anger. A video of this should be shown to younger players as they transition from the juniors to the big boys. The average junior doesn't have enough free rackets to smash any of them, so instead takes out their anger on a ball.  This is fine when there are no spectators, ball girls or umpire. Everyone remembers Tim Henman at Wimbledon, Dennis Shap and poor Arnaud Gabas in  the DC. Also, destroying a modern carbon fibre racket requires multiple maximum force strikes and takes many seconds. This is far more cathartic than smashing away a single ball.  Nobody gets hurt, the player accepts a warning for racket abuse and spectators can smile and play can continue....

Happy Easter to everyone, and good luck to Jay in his next match.

Jay is *5-3. No mid match wander please! 2 sets will do.
