Very weak qualifying there, with 12 QR1 byes. But the #1 on the main acceptance list is only WR692/ITF339 so hopefully another good opportunity for Mandy
Mirabelle has been entering over the last few months, but has always been way down the alt lists. Maybe not recently, but certainly back in week 7 and earlier. She hasn't actually played on tour since last July.
I will be delighted when Mandy is finally able to move up to at least W25 level again. She doesn't belong at this level. A walk in the park for her today, though her opponent did play marginally better in the second set and doubled her points tally from 6 pts to 12 pts
Mandy should still have far to much for her next opponent, but if she reaches the QF she potentially plays the top seed (or her doubles partner), so things could get more interesting then.
Not a bad week for Mandy with 4 singles ITF ponits and 30 doubles ITF ponits to add - hopefully a lot more to come
She willhave to keep playing 15ks for most of this year - until she gets a WTA ranking that is bullet-proof.

She can only get a WTA ranking that's bullet proof Strongbow by playing W25s and above. That's why I think she'll play this week and next in the Tabarka W15s, then hope by the end to have a high enough ITF ranking to start getting into the reserved IR places in W25s, and she'll switch her focus to those events. She won't want to stay down at this level any longer than she has to.

Getting into 25k's is so hard under the new set-up. To be in with a chance she will have to have an a good ITF ranking - and keep it till she has 20+ WTA pts from at least 6 scoring events. The new rules also make it very for unranked players to get into 15ks'.
""Brave new world" - hopefully to change soon - but not holding my breath.
