Those of you who read my various scribes on here will no doubt remember that I have on occasions waxed lyrical about the facilities and the set up at the La Manga Club. The facilities remain unchanged but there has been a notable change in another way.
James Rose, who had spent several years there and was excellent in his role as Head Coach, has moved on and taken some of his team with him. I believe he is now in Majorca. Nothing of much note so far for me to make this post, but today's news is very interesting.
Nicolas Almagro has now officially retired from professional tennis and has taken over the role of "Director of the Academy" at La Manga. That is a notable scalp for La Manga to land and I wish them all the best. I feel a trip down there coming on.
I saw on Instagram this morning that Edward Taylor has gone to La Manga this week with Toby Martin. And there have been posts from others over the last few weeks as well.

La Manga is great, I have been going there for the last 12 years with my family - a couple of who are very good tennis players. Would recommend it to anyone and done properly does not have to be expensive.

I have also done their adult academy a few times. Highly recommended, although with James Rose and half his team no longer there, it will be interesting to see how things go with the new director.
