I heard Talksport wondering about the Tara odds ( at least she made news quite widely ) but deciding that you wouldn't have in match betting on matches at that level. Hmm.

They obviously don't read this site then biggrin

Yeah, she's had a lot of (good) publicity and featured in loads of articles nationally and it's nice that a 25k event in Britain has an unusual talking point. You see the odd 'match fixing' remark on social media - they must have done a hell of a job with that MP net cord, ha.

Slow start for Laura (or fast for Harriet, whichever way you look at it). 0-3* and only won one point so far.

Vic up a break though - *2-0 (broke to love as well).

Amazed that Tara is such a hot favourite (have 10p on the other girl, hope it works for Tara by reverse psychology).

You'd think there would be a huge problem getting keyed up again, after the heroics of the last match.

Great start from Vic Allen.

No surprise re Laura and Harriet so far (odds were way too optimistic for Laura at the start too)

Starting to feel a bit sorry for Laura here. Hope it's not a complete hammering.

Re Tara, I saw a fair bit of Morderger against Cadar (who lost 0-6 0-6 to Vic last week) yesterday and she won the first set on the tie break but was probably the 2nd best player in the set - that is the first time I've seen her mind, so probably harsh making a judgement on that, but she did seem an ideal 2nd round opponent, but then again, bar Ponchet and maybe one or two other select matches, Tara has largely been poor for a while, so maybe not really a surprise she is struggling a bit. However, whatever happens in the next 30 mins or so, she'll know that she'll have comeback from far worse situations, haha.

Just as I was typing out that waffle, Tara is back at 2-2...

Tara has been stung by my lack of faith and is staging a more early comeback - 2-2

Cracking hold from Vic, was 15-40 when I last checked, but came through to lead 4-1*. You can catch snippets of her match on the Dart stream and I saw her smash a winner.

Poor Laura, 0-6. I was wondering if the MTO might have been more mental than physical - she certainly won't want to lose 0-6 0-6 or equivalent, but then 4 matches in 3 days is quite a lot for someone coming back and I saw her leave a shot and assumed it had gone out, but then Dart was awarded the point, so perhaps is struggling.

Ah, looks like she has retired.

Couldn't see too well on the little screen but Laura was lying down on her front on a towel, having her back? hip? something ? massaged and manipulated.

Hope she's OK.....

So Tara is the only women's single's match (not just GB) being streamed from now on and they'll have 4 men's. Jodie's court was meant to be streamed, but I've tried to watch a bit of Maja Chwalinska's match (on same court) but it says it hasn't started on the ITF stream site (which it has) and it's not on Bet365 either - that's a massive shame, going with a 2:4 ratio in the first place when the women's event is more important in terms of points and respective level.

Nice comeback from Tara (has a good ring to that) to take the first set 6-4.

Vic 5-7. Bit of a shame to way that set went from 5-2, perhaps Anderson just raised got more used to her and raised her level.

5 breaks of serve to start Tara's second set. *3-2

Vic was broken early in the second, Anderson's 6th game in a row, but Vic broke back to love to stop the run and then held, so 2-1*
