Wow! From 0-6 *0-5 Tara has taken it to a third set. C'mon Tara

Really??? My Lord, been out all morning. No idea of scores.

The French forums must be in complete meltdown ! smile

That is the most spectacular collapse from Jessika - off the scale.

Well done, Tara!

And in the doubles..........

Plenty of Brits involved - seven pairs + two halves. Inevitably they are bunched together. But great to see Olivia in the draw again, with Sam this time as Freya is partnering Valeria again

No sign of Fran Stephenson though, paulisi? Shame, would have nice to 'see' her again. Wish her well, whatever's she doing.

 I may have been wrong???

Is this the greatest comeback ever?

6-0 5-0 40-30 down and came back to win.......

Unbelievable win for Tara. I was pleased when she avoided the double bagel, but to actually win from that position is unreal.

One win at a time, but a half decent chance next you would think as well. That certainly is a bonus win.

Wow, just wonderful for Tara, really pleased for her, it's been so long coming... smile Now that switch she found and flicked... do you think you could keep that switch a bit more readily available in the near future Tara? She will get one of the Mordergers or Cadar next, so on paper a much easier match.

Maia struggling a bit. 2-6 and facing BP at the start if the second. Probably not at full fitness, but another tough draw for her here.

Stunning win from Tara. Those of you who follow the craziness on the ITF tour week-in week-out won't be surprised that it's not the first time someone has ever won from 0-6 0-5 match point down (indeed, it even happened in a slam once, when Lisa Raymond beat Lubomira Kurhajcova from 0-6 0-5 2 match points down in R1 at Roland Garros in 2004) but I'm not sure anyone has ever managed it against someone ranked more than 200 places above them. I guess it may well show that Tara is still capable of playing top 150 tennis when she gets her act together!

And/or that Jessika has the mental toughness of a raspberry ripple ice-cream on a hot day smile

Quote on twitter (from someone I don't know)

Daniel Clark
@djmclark

I watched from 6-0 2-0. The French girl panicked when it got to 5-3 in the 2nd. Also Tara finally hit to the one hand BH and kept the ball in play better and the errors just flowed. The 3rd set was closer, but Tara still had the better shots. The prayer to heaven at 1-5 was funny!
