Play here finally and a good win for Beth, which she'll be very pleased with as it is her first singles MD win for a while smile

Emily loses easily in the end, winning just 1 of the last 10 games, so with Eden's withdrawal it is just Beth that goes into the 2nd round, where she will need a startling improvement on last week to make further progress.

In Obidos it's Georgian week this week. Mariam Bolkvadze (based in UK) and Sofia Shapatava (EWS' double partner), are playing each other in one of the singles SFs, and then are in each of the two doubles SF's. So one Georgian singles finalist is guaranteed (and Mariam lost in last week's final), and they could play each other in the doubles final.
