Jodie won 6-1 3-6 6-1, so a slight scare but another point scoring win for her. Possibly 3rd seed Kalinskaya up next for her (she plays Scholsen later).
Didn't realise Ella was underway. She took her first set 6-2 but is *0-3 down in the second. The opponent is still the betting favourite to win the match.
Poor Ella has lost 10 games on the trot since taking that first set. You'd think Ferrando might have just figured her out after the first set.
Chuffed Jodie and Emma have joined joined Victoria in R2, they'd probably (along with Maia) be the ones I'd have chosen if someone gave me a preference of 2 or 3 going through. Hopefully get at least 1 more from the remaining three matches, Naomi is the favourite in her match, but then it's Naomi

Jodie played a terrific first and third set, but totally imploded in the second when her opponent became more aggressive.
She was very down on herself, threatened to retire and smashed a racket.
Emma was terrific after a slow start. She has all the shots and a big serve.
Ella was great when she mixed her game up, but as soon as it went to baseline rallies, there was only one winner.
Maia and Tara are playing very well at present.
Maia had 4 BPs, including 3 in a row at 3-3*, couldn't convert, and then lost 8 of the next 10 points or 11 of 13 (if you include the Kerkhove hold) to take it into a decider.
