A truly remarkable day for Jodie after looking completely down and out 3 hours ago. Really really hope she's fit for tomorrow as playing like she has this week anything is possible.
Well done to Jodie, even though I was rooting for Emma, not least as she's limited to the number of WCs she can get this year. Ho hum. I just hope that Jodie is fit for her final.
Very good to see Jodie back out there and winning the doubles title with Lissy. Her singles comeback and then maybe more so coming out for the doubles and winning that suggests that the injury issue was not as bad as might have been taken from her MTO and relatively hastily applied big strapping.
Re the singles I would think Emma is already far too experienced and sensible to think it was ever "in the bag" but yes maybe Jodie's MTO and strapping did effect how she played a bit. And even if you change how you play just a bit, say to test out Jodie, it can be difficult to get back in your earlier swing. But then such momentum changes often happen MTO or not.
At least we overall got a competitive match. I plumped for the wrong winner but as I indicated earlier I couldn't decide who I actually wanted to win. Well done to Jodie and keep on tracking Emma, learning and improving.
All the best to Jodie in the final. Hopefully enough left in the tank and the injury issue doesn't appear more serious tomorrow.
Just to note that if Jodie wins the title then week after next she will go all the way up to GB #6!!
Currently for week of 15/4 Jodie is showing at 300, on 157 pts, ahead of Maia (148), and just behind Kay D (159), Naomi (160) and Gabi (166). That would be a real shake up.

Alex is the man ! Our hero. No inside idea but he seems to have really done what needed doing with Jodie's game (still don't understand her previous coaches' approach). Another reason why the LTA should provide help further down the food chain.
