Yeah, real shame for Katy, but her best week in a while with a couple of good wins and pushed a solid player so close today, so better signs and should be a seed next week.
I assume Eden will have to win her SF to get the SE, even though she will be playing on the Sunday?
Stefkova qualified for Wimbledon last year so clearly comfortable with low bouncing surfaces. Encouraging week for Katy and a great one so far for Eden
Mariam B is one of those players you watch as a youngster, when she was usually in a bad mood, and often not playing that well, and you then have to get your head round the fact that she's now grown up to be a really pretty decent player.... However, hoping for a throwback match tomorrow - Go, Eden !
And doubles round up. Pleased for EWS. Beth might be disappointed to not reach the final, but don't think Eden will be too much. For the final, Sofia and EWS will probably face the top seeds who are a set and break up against the 4th seeds. Any change in that will see a quiet edit

First of our Sunday representatives was due on court at 11 to begin her SF match, but it seems more rain and drying out time required in Obidos and the SF start times have now been pushed back to 13.00
