Ha. Yes I noticed the other day that Ryan P was last of the ATP ranked at WR 682. That should be due to him having most MD appearances at 25K or above of these with 1 point ( 17 according to the rankings list ).
As far as I can see none of our current 17 ATP ranked can lose their ranking until 12th August when Alex Ward loses his final points ( with no intention of replacing them ) and Ryan Storrie drops his one point.
However, at the moment only our current top 9 ranked ( and that includes Andy ) have yet picked up any ATP counters this year.

Am i missing something with Sijsling?? Why the demon faces??!
These will both be tough - but at the outset, GB would have only expected 1 player in QF round on seedings, and sadly Liam didnt make it. But Lloyd (starting to find form again at last) and Evan should be pleased with their efforts so far - just hope they can get more wins and get atp points...
Not Sijsling specifically. I just get fed up with seeing 31-year-olds like him & Marsel Ilhan (TUR/currently unranked by the ATP, but with a CH of 77 in March 2015), or 33-year-old Teymuraz Gabashvili (RUS/WR 376 [CH 43 in February 2016]), or 34-year-old Fred Gil (POR/WR 555 [CH 105 in September 2010]) or 34-year-old Lamine Ouahab (MAR, WE 440 [CH 114 in September 2009]) slumming it at Futures level & regularly handing out a drubbing to younger, far less experienced players, some of whom are barely scratching a living. At least other players on the slide, such as Marcel Granollers (32, WR 111 [CH 19 in July 2012]), GGL (35, WR 113 [CH 23 in Feburary 2011]), Tommy Robredo (36, WR 223 [CH 5 in August 2006]), Stéphane Robert (38, WR 283 [CH 50 in October 2016]) or another 38-year-old, Victor Estrella (WR 346 [CH = 43 in July 2015]), have managed to keep up their rankings sufficiently to enter Challengers. And you have to hand it to Big Ivo: 40, WR 77 (CH = 14 in August 2008) & still making the main draw of Masters 1000s & Grand Slams!
By the way, the second emoticon is no demon, it's a "bleh", a pulled face because Evan has to face him.

Or...those younger players should be able to beat them? Just a thought. If they are that young and inexperienced, a lot of the time it won't matter who they face, they still would lose so what difference does it make really? Maybe the older players still enjoy tennis but don't want to play challengers.
At the very least, it's a learning curve. (Will admit to being a bit sick of Sijsling's name though!)
Yes, I don't think the older players owe it to the younger ones to move over and just let them win.
In fact, I think having older players at all parts of the ladder is important - it shows the youngsters how tennis can be a longer-term career, of some sort, not just for the tip-top players. And gives the youngsters the benefit of their take on things.
My problem with Sijsling is I always forget how to write his name. But I watched him once live at Wimbledon qualis, play the most cracking match against Matthieu, where he won in the fifth set 7-5 (it was the FQR so five sets) - marvellous match.
