Nice job by George H, sneaking the first set TB 8-6

Equally, great set by Aidan to take it 6-4

Shame for Neil who was ahead for all the start of the second set but ended up losing it, 1 & 4

Very nice win for Aidan, though.

I have Mr McHugh predicted to rank above Mr Glasspool by year end, so this will be a nice early test!

Did George H have MPs if that long second set tie break? Shame for him, he lost that 10-12, so I imagine he might have done. He lost the decider 0-6 and only won 7 points, so I'd imagine he'd either be spent physically or mentally bruised from the tie breaker.

I hope the latter change isn't because Evan or Luke is injured.

Yes - he had match points. George is a talented player, with a superb backhand.

If he goes full time, he will fly up the rankings.

Aidan was terrific, just keeps the ball in play.

Liam had an easy win, his next match will be tough.

Jack FH was good.

Great updates, paulisi

Although this seems slightly contradictory:

"Aidan was terrific, just keeps the ball in play".

But it certainly seemed a good game on livestream, only watched the first set, which was close.

Such a shame for George - there aren't many opportunities and you need the rub of the green - one win here or there can make such a difference.

NB You say Liam's next match will be tough. Were you impressed by the guy? He's only being making QFs in 15ks recently, it's not much on paper.

Real shame Liam and Lloyd lost out 10-12 in the MTB. I thought they'd beat the second seeds and do well here.......close though...
