GB v Israel Part II

well, after GB's defeat against SeM. we got israel AGAIN!! the likely choice of surface will probably be grass considering the tie will be played straight after wimbledon.

1.who shall play in this tie?

2.Greg to retire?

3.Andy to get a ban?????

i think the players who have played well at wimbeldon and the pre- Wimby tournaments will get a shout? are andy and auckland going to team up again? Hopefully boggo will be in the top 100 so he may get a nod, then again who knows maybe baker will get a shout!!

The squad has been announced for the Davis cup tie. andy murray, alex bogdanovic, alan mackin and jamie delgado.

surprise with mackin's inclusion, but then he did well to get through 5 sets against bhagdatis. delgado's is a a surprise too, then again he did well at wimbledon in th doubles. hopefully GB will win with ease. but then israel got andy ram in the doubles who won the mixed at wimbledon.

Hey I admit I am biased coz I like Martin Lee, but I am shocked he and Richard B were left out.  Maybe there are reasons that I don't know about, but Mackin has shown me nothing more in either singles or doubles than those two players.

I assume it is Andy and Jamie in the doubles, but if something happens to Alex or Andy on Friday I'd much rather have Richard or Martin playing singles on grass come Sunday. Now if the tie was on clay instead of grass I'd understand more....just my thoughts.
