Bolton and Sunderland 25k entry lists

Don't forget that Harriet had a nice little earner at Wimbledon last year, so the costs probably aren't an issue. WTA stats also say her earnings this year are over $80k

Bouchard out of Monterrey according to tennis.life. Not yet seen confirmation that Harriet has replaced her.

She's surely got to go. Get on the plane on Saturday after winning the French 60k biggrin wink, then hopefully no match until the Tuesday. Bouchard would have been one of the seeds which means Boulter will be one of the higher non seeded players. Jorovic is in the draw who Harriet has already beaten this year, Arruabarrena often struggles away from clay, and out of form players like Watson and Bogdan, plus the lower ranked Qs and WCs - obviously still some very good players involved, but this could be a really good opportunity for her, and even if she loses early, she could always get back to Sunderland the next week and get the organisers to put her on as late on possible.

So as far as Bolton is concerned:

Harriet is a doubt, Georges is also probably a doubt after pulling out of her 60k QF, Diatchenko may well pull out like she did Glasgow if she has success this week.

So Maia is definitely in the main draw, hopefully Emma will join her with an SE. If Emma gets SE, Jodie would need 3 withdrawals to make it directly, if no SE for Emma, she would need only 2.

Naomi and Maia into main draw plus 4 wildcards and any qualifiers.
Harriet is part of the promotion literature and is still showing on the list. I guess if the rules are the same she will get a fine for late withdrawal...
7 GB entrants in the men plus qualifiers.

Dart and Georges have both withdrawn from Bolton, neither a shock, so that should bump Maia (fingers crossed) and a young Pole called Maja into the main draw. Yashina would also get in and then Jodie would then be in line, unless Emma wins tomorrow then she'll probably get an SE, pushing Jodie out who would then be relying on one more withdrawal - possibly Diatchenko, maybe even Maia herself.

I suspect the wildcards may well change if Emma wins this morning and Jodie gets bumped up to main draw.

Looks like some of the younger GB players will sneak into qualifying, either directly or via wildcard.

I suspect it would have been Emma R, Jodie, Alicia and Laura.
Jodie or Emma is definitely in, so I suspect Alice or Ella may get the freed up wildcard.

Victoria Allen is likely to get some sort of card too, even if only into qualifying, especially having beaten Freya this week. It's possible Alice may sneak into qualifying, once the entries have been bumped up following the withdrawals and the MD WCs allocated.

So, with the Q sign in deadline in 3 hours and the Q draw out not too long after that, what are we expecting for Bolton MDWCs and QWCs?

All being fit and well, Naomi, Maia and Emma should all be in the main draw. Jodie will be knocked off because of Emma's SE, but would get in directly with one more withdrawal.

Even though she'd be the highest ranked in Qs, and IMO probably better than her 345 ranking, so would have a decent chance of coming through Qs, I'd still give Jodie a MDWC. You'd imagine Laura would get one as well, possibly Alicia and maybe one of Alice/Vic after their strong weeks in the British Tour.

That would see the likes of Tara, Freya, Sam and Ella in the 32 person Q draw. If Vic got the MDWC, the Emma SE, Laura, Jodie and Alicia MDWCs would see Alice enter into quals without the need of a QWC, it would also see young Jo Garland sneak into quals too, which would be interesting. There should be 5 QWCs now, so after that you're looking at Sasha, Holly S, younger Pitak and then maybe older Pitak and Popescu as the final recipients - unless there's a decent prospect on the alt list who I'm forgetting about.?

Obviously a lot can change, one withdrawal would see Jodie enter directly and then change the landscape lower down a bit, but it would be great if we could end up with around 10 in the main draw.

Well the Q draw is out and a few surprises. The main thread will detail all the matches, but Jodie and Laura in quals, so not fully sure who will have the MDWCs.

Looks like Alice and Victoria but not sure who else? Could maybe get a few coming through quals now. At least that means Maia is fine because Jodie would have been in the main draw otherwise so no other withdrawals.

No Jo Garland in quals either.

 biggrin

Haha, very interesting times and a lot of unknowns. Jo Garland MDWC and a switch of allegiance, we can hope...

Ella will likely be an MDWC, forgot about her, Alice, Vic and one other - still looking, ha.

Ah and Sasha Hill.

Looks like Garland must have withdrawn as the Pitaks have got in without the need of a QWC and both were below her.

Looks like these players from the lower reaches of the alt list may have the QWC
Emily Morton
Holly Staff
Kimberly Alinafe Mpukusa
Amelia Rajecki
Lillian Mould

Edit - draw sheet now showing on ITF site, and these are confirmed
