Just had a 30 min phone call there and saw the opponent had taken it into a decider, so was surprised to see it still early in the 3rd set, until I saw the rain delay. Hopefully will give Emma a chance to regroup and come out strong, with the opponent winning the last 3 games.
I saw the Ukrainian was 11/1 both at 6-3 and also at 5-4 in the second set, was tempted to but £1 or £2 on, but didn't - it did look quite long (although I obviously haven't watched any of it).
Wow which way will this one go? Opp won 12 of 14 points to serve for the match and have all the momentum, but ER has just broken back to force a deciding set TB.
It'll be a third Israeli opponent out of 4 for Emma as she faces Vlada Ekshibarova in the SF. I thought I recognised that name and she has played 4 GB ITF events since August and I'm pretty sure she was in a car of a video of Maia Lumsden singing the Proclaimers 500 miles, presumably in a Glasgow 25k.
Anyway, better news for Emma is that she beat Vlada 6-3 6-0 in an Israeli SF last May, so hopefully that's a good omen.
Edit - it wasn't this person after all that , but should be a winnable match for her.
