First set goes. 2-6 0-0*. 30-16 in terms of points and 8 in a row for the American.

Harriet obviously did come from a set down yesterday as well as win 3 setters on Tues and Weds, but think this one may be a step too far. Hope to be proved wrong though.

SF: DART, Harriet (GBR) [5] 140 lost to Robin ANDERSON (USA) 228 (CH:183 July 16) by 6-2 6-3

 

Not to be today and on the day looks to have been a pretty comfortable win for Anderson.

Shame, but still a solid enough week. Wouldn't mind a doubles exit later on whether that be via a walkover or other means (that's assuming she is playing Monterrey).

So they've taken out the second seeds AND the third seeds, and both times 10-8 in the MTB

That's some lovely clutch playing, team GB.

I'll never be a doubles fan, but pleased for them, especially SBG, if that is ultimately the direction her career goes. I'd still like to see Harriet withdraw / not fully go for it later, so hopefully these two can take the title tomorrow.

 

Or even better, win the match today, get on the plan later and then give a walkover to Eden/SBG  biggrin

At least her doubles ranking could be heading north into the top 100 and likely soon to be our #2 ranked doubles player.

Good to keep her doubles in tune for possible Fed Cup use.
