Yes, I'm sure that's what Mandy's aiming for. Still a way to go though, that's the trouble with the dual ranking system. And there is a huge bonus for winning the tournament. For reaching the final Mandy gets 60 points takes her to about 132 on the ranking for 1/4, but the win is worth another 40 points, which would put her just into the top 100. However to start getting into the IR spots for the 25ks more easily she would need to be into the top 50, and that would require yet another W15 win, ie about another 140 points added to her current 192... The sooner the better.

Mandy's total of 132 does not include this week. On 1/4/19 she will be on at least 192.

yes too many 132s Strongbow... the 192 points she will have with the +60 so far this week (adding to her current 132) will take her to about 132 on the ITF ranking, and then if she wins the title will likely take her just into the top 100 wink

Just a few close games in the final set, but Mandy looked (from the scoreboard) well in control.
Another good week, ending in the title, and as previously mentioned, plenty of points to go with it.

It is indeed the first women's singles title of the year... It's taken some time coming. Another step forward for Mandy but she needs to win one more before it will become easier for her to make some of the MD ITF reserved lists. It's one of the troubles of the ITF points, they are only good for the few MD reserved slots since all the qualifying lists are filled from the WTA rankings. Mandy is not entered now for a couple of weeks, at the moment her next attempts to play are the week of 8/4, where before withdrawals she is well down most alt lists still.
