I should add that it sounds to me as though it is nothing more than "Banter" from the cheeky chap Evo and the newspapers are trying to make a lot more of it than actually exists. I can quite imagine the two of them having a real good laugh over the whole situation when they meet in private.
Judy's response exactly right. It's not about comparing finance, neither can a career that's largely singles (Dan's) be really compared to Jamie's doubles and mixed doubles success. Frankly, is Dan ever going to get GS/masters titles like Jamie, almost certainly No. (I'm stating the obvious here, sorry!). Dan could be shot down in flames for a financial comparison, it makes no sense.

I understand what you are saying Miriam but in the article itself, you will see that Jamie started the "earnings" comparison. And as I said, it sounds like nothing more than good natured banter to me.
Here are the relevant paragraphs that give me that impression.
There is an element of pantomime to the row, and Evans denies there will be any frostiness between the two players when they combine under the British flag for this winters upcoming team events.
But he clearly stands by his views, especially after Murrays final word in Australia was to point to their respective career earnings $4,330,223 (£3,279,508) for him, $1,572,492 for Evans and adding: I manage to make a good living, a lot better than Dan.
Dan' s response is reported as, "It will be interesting to see who ends up with more money at the end of their careers, wont it? Evans told reporters with his familiar roguish grin." That fact that it came up in an interview after beating Jaziri suggests to me that some reporter stoked the fire on purpose by reminding him of Jamie's comments and asking for a response. That response was simply Dan Evan's humour.
Sounds to me like two friends winding each other up for fun and that is now playing itself out in the media who are making far more of it than there really is.

I agree with Bob and to be honest Judy's response wasnt needed, and stoked up the Jamie fans. Dan is a plonked sometimes , we all know that, but this is just banter. They're friends and having a bit of chat like we used to do down the pub. Doesn't need mum to get involved.
It seems to me this is the press trying to make trouble again - just like after Andy's "anyone but England" joke which I still get quoted at me by ill informed idiots.
