Weeks 12 & 13 - ATP Masters 1000 - Miami Open, FL, USA (hard) - singles

Dan's got 4 years left , potentially at the top, time to knuckle down (which i'm sure he knows and is doing since his return) and get the money in the bank to set him up for life.

Don't know if Dan would be in contention should he lose to Bublik given his relative low seeding, but Chung has just withdrawn, opening up a LL spot in the draw for somebody.

On that note, if Chung had withdrawn yesterday Kovalik would have been promoted the the MD.

Great win for Jay, let's have another one - why not, eh?

It's raining. A lot. All day. Expect delays and cancellations.

Yep, play officially cancelled for today. They're currently sorting tomorrow's schedule. Typical with no footy or other sports of note with the internationals starting on Thursday.

Now that is a win! Well done Jay, tough match next but then again, he just beat someone ranked significantly higher so why not!

To start off so well in such a high profile tournament must be a massive lift for Jay. I am really enjoying Dans progress hopeful Already at a level where he is into GS main draws, hopefully this will be the last Miami Qualifying tournament he plays.

I need Dan to stop now really as I predicted 100 for him in the men's prediction comp. He's really gone too high !

Who on earth is this Gunneswaran, he is in top 100 for RACE.  Probably the greatest thing in Indian Male tennis since Vijay got a part in the that James Bond film.

Gunneswaran seems to be in form so this will be tough for Jay. Hope he can at least put up a decent show.

Match before Dan has just finished so he should be on court shortly

Looking auspicious

The Indian serving for the match. He's only dropped 5 points on his last 6 service games, so it'll be a big effort to get the break.

Mike Dickson reporting that Jay even tried a "cheeky underarm serve".

Another hold to love. 4-6 4-6. I assume Jay won't have any chance of the LL spot with him not being a seed.
