I did see it. Kyle was in rally when he was obviously put off by the loud shout of out however carried on albeit a little half heartedly. The umpire shouted out stop. He then gave point to Isner!
Fair enough if Kyle had stopped all together but the ball was still in play! Fair play to Kyle for still shaking his hand afterwards as he was livid.
We will see how things pan out at the proper business end but I think it is worthy of note that, while Zverev and Khachanov didn't hang around long, more than half of the singles men into R4 are aged under 25. 9 out of 16.
We have a Coric vs Kyrgios match and a Tsitsipas vs Shapovalov one.
And 4 quarter finalists, making up 2 of the matches, are under 23 including 2 teenagers. So there will be relative youngsters in each SF.
Bautista Agut vs Isner
Coric (22) vs Auger-Aliassime (18)
Anderson vs Federer
Shapovalov (19) vs Tiafoe (21)
Federer is the only one of these that made the Indian Wells QF.
Isner takes his 6th TB of his 7 sets so far to be halfway to a SF.
He won the other set 7-5 with 2 breaks, making 3 breaks in all ( vs Kyle was the 3rd with Kyle having one of the only 2 breaks against ) to get where he is.
He makes a hell of a lot out of limited gifts but one particular one.

Hey ho, Isner wins 7-6(1) 7-6(5) without a break.
So make that 8 sets played, 7 TBs won plus a 7-5 set. 3 breaks of serve for Isner over his 4 rounds won.

Just to add to this, since 2011 we have had the following numbers of players reach 2 of the last 16 in Melbourne and or last 8 in IW and Miami
2011 - 7 players achieved 2 of those round achievements
2012 - 8
2013 - 9
2014 - 9
2015 - 9
2016 - 8
2017 - 7
2018 - 7
2019 - just 6 this year, which I think demonstrates that it is becoming a little more open and unpredictable. the 6 are Nadal, Federer (achieved all 3 rounds), Raonic, Tiafoe, Bautista-Agut, and Coric.

And with a semi against Coric or FAA, he would hope to make his experience tell. he seems to like Miami where the conditions are relatively quicker than IW. Also, hats off to dan for beating him just a few weeks back in delray.
