Hopefully. Still the only match not to have started, although looks like it's just about to. Watson-Brengle and Voegele-Babos before it have certainly held it up. If it goes 3, I'll struggle to see it reach a conclusion.
I'm probably being harsh here because it's been a disappointing / frustrating set of results today, but when you break it down, I think it's been a pretty modest 2019 thus far for Katie.
Hobart
lost to Minnen, 1-6 in the 3rd. Minnen went on to do very well that tournament and was clearly better than her ranking, but there was still big disappointment on this board with that result.
Melbourne
Beat Makarova. A seasoned veteran so a good result. But then Ekat had injury issues and hadn't won since the US Open in August, and still hasn't - on a 7 match losing streak
Sabalenka - routine, but respectable at the same time. Nobody would / should have really expected anything different. Quite impressed he got 7 games. Completely different level
St Petersburg
Beat Pera - solid top 100 win, although Pera had lost 6 of her last 7 matches going into this one (and only win was Bozovic Aussie WC ranked 358 in Sydney).
Beat Zavatska - decent young player, similar age / ranking to Katie Swan
Lost to Bonaventure - I remember being disappointed at the time, losing to a lower ranked player, but Ysa has shown since that she can get some good results.
Reprieve, but then lost to Alexandrova. Similarly ranked, but very good indoors, no shame losing
Acapulco
Beat Perrin. Watched this on BT, not convincing, but job done against a pretty average 150 type ITF player
Lost to Kenin - was competing well until the illness and Kenin should be a level above anyway at this moment
Indian Wells
Beat Kiick - significant in the sense that it ended the poor H2H record, but again if she is going to be a mainstay in the top 100, you'd like to think she should be beating those older players ranked circa 150.
Lost to Golubic - A bit unfortunate that she was playing VG in form.
Miami
Lost to Bouzkova - not a disaster because Bouz is a young, former very good junior slam champ and had some success last week, but certainly winnable being the seed and 30 points dropped from last year.
Beat: 60, 85, 182, 148, 145
Lost to: 346 (better than that), 11, 148, 78, 35, 82, 116
So 5-7 and not really a stand out win when you consider where Makarova was / is. She's still pretty new to this level, still a work in progress and obviously can't win every week. The Fed Cup heroics would paint a better picture, but would anyone else have expected a slightly little better return than that at the WTA level? She's got Monterrey next, but then she's got a decision whether to try her hand at clay or head back to Asia and try to defend that 60k Japan title from last year.
Yes, would have hoped for a bit better but it's still earliish in the year. Certainly not particularly bad, even for her now top 100 status, and hopefully she can pick things up a bit.
Katie B certainly doesn't lead my concerns.

That's true. At least she is picking up the odd W...
Looking at these set of results and the year in general one wonders why the powers that be are frustrated that we are not in the top flight of the Fed Cup.Frankly we would struggle. They also sound off about equality in women's tennis. You can see GB's problem but you can't want players to be better than they are..
