I'd imagine Emma will be playing Bolton this week. Like w/c 25th March she has put Japan 25k as her 1 priority, but she's not going to get into either, so if she wants to play this week, it'll have to be a MDWC or a QWC into Bolton.
Looks like almost all of our ranked women have entered Bolton - plenty of names in the alt list. Have to see what happens after withdrawals on Tuesday.
(That list includes Dunne 2, Lumsden 6, Burrage 20 - all of whom should make it into qualifying)
Will probably go to Bolton for a couple of days.
There are quite a few alternative events of a similar level or higher, so I'd expect a lot of multiple entries.
Good to see Liam and Naomi playing their local tournament. Naomi trains there, so may get a wildcard.
Cut off should be completed this afternoon, but expect Jack and Evan to get in via ITF ranking.
Brydan has withdrawn.
Plenty of our women in qualifying now, but bound to be upgraded to main draw via wildcard.
Beth and Eden both had three weeks there last year - the other two were in the far east. So I'm not surprised really - at least all four have made the cut, although they would have made it in Bolton too !
Plenty of our women in qualifying now, but bound to be upgraded to main draw via wildcard.
Yes there are 8 in qualifying now - Naomi, Maia, Jodie, Tara, Lissey, Freya, Sam and Emma. It means there is no-one left in Japan this week.
Ella Taylor and Laura are near the top of the alt list, so both bound to play, and Emily App is not far off. Lower down, hope Sasha Hill gets a go, and Victoria Allen needs one more counter to get a WTA ranking (even if she is very far down the alt list).
It's not like Mariam Bolkvaze to pass on the opportunity to play in the UK, although saying that, she is comfortably in the Obidos main draw and could well end up seeded, whereas she'd probably have to go through Bolton quals.
