In miami Dom is an alt with haase and skugor is with jarry. Presume these are one off pairings.

I don't think so, not from this thread on twitter: https://twitter.com/bri****chsports/status/1105208018730283009

Yeah, no , sorry I meant as pairings im not sure Dom and Haase will be permanent,  but do get Dom and skugor have split.

Btw are you based overseas, in Dubai or some where, just wondering why you need to put the **** instead of the awkward letters , ?

Jon, I think you'll find that Activeboard is seriously (& unnecessarily) oversensitive to perceived awkward (& generally innocent) combinations of letters, even when there's no obvious logical connection in posters' minds, & automatically substitutes the asterisks as a post goes through!  I learned fairly early on from seeing one of the Indian Sood brothers (Laksh!t) repeatedly thus edited & now substitute similar characters to avoid the editing/censorship.  Absolutely ridiculous!  furious

Watched Zeballos/Mektic vs Herbert/Mahut, stands absolutely packed and really into it. There was even fans on the corner of the not used next court. Who said doubles is not popular?

Especially as Mektic & Zeballos beat the top seeds by 2-6 7-6(7) [13-11]!  Followed by JJR & Tecau dumping out Kontinen & Peers (8) by 6-3 7-6(1)!

Does anyone know what happened to Dom's doubles match? It appeared on live scores and the next time I checked it wasn't there. Nothing in the completed matches either.

Edit. And as if by magic as soon as I posted and re-checked, it's reappeared!

Again for the record:

QF:  (6) Lukasz Kubot & Marcelo Melo (POL/BRA) CR 20 (8+12) defeated Dominic Inglot & Franko Skugor (CRO) CR 57 (27+30) by 4-6 6-2 [10-6]  hmm

Not entirely unexpected, but that looks pretty close.  cry  I hope Kubot & Melo now manage to despatch NoDjo & Foggy in the semi.

Just noticed Novak has made the semis here and I see people seem to be cheering against him. Cant really see why given he isnt up against any Brits, surely the profile rises when better players participate?

I think it is to do with the perceived feud between Djoko and  Chris Kermode, sticking up for our British administrator and Djoko is appearing to be the man who stuck the knife in his back; so hence he is being disliked. From my own personal perspective, I have never liked Djoko at all anyway, for reasons to do with a) he comes across to me as arrogant b) I dont really like his game, he doesnt  excite me c) I always tend to not like the person at  the top, for reasons entirely to do with me I think! For that matter, I am not particularly a fan  of Fed or Rafa either, although I admire them more from a tennis perspective.

Fair reasons Id say based on all that, Im assuming the same for everyone else. Im not a Novak fan either. Out of the three probably Roger as preference for the serenity of his game if nothing else.
