Kyle on top, small matter of a Swiss superstar (take your pick) in next round. On basis that Kyle can hopefully despatch the man who beat Dan in 3 sets in Delray, and hopefully easily, a match up with Wawrinka (who of course beat Dan in 3 sets here) or Federer (who famously found Dan tough going in Melbourne) should give Kyle no loss of sleep moving forwards!

Don't count your chickens just yet Jon.  Albot gets the 1st break back.  This match is not over yet.

5-3*

First match my Dad took me too was Leeds v Norwich at Elland Road, 2-1 in 74 (1-1). Would be good to see them go up together (and not Sheffield utd!)

Echo John's point about a Swiss multi surface slam winner either way in Kyle's path, but man, there's been some big big shocks today and in general. Didn't expect to see Phil K (given his opponent), Dr Ivo, Struff, Nishioka or LL Kecmoanovic (and one of those are in the QF), Hurkacz and Q Krajinovic all in the last 16. That's 7 surprise names in (or at least towards) the business end of arguably the biggest ATP regular tour event. Crazy.
