Kyle is at 22 in the live rankings and today's win won't change that, other than perhaps protect him a bit more from the chasers below. In fact, if Kyle wants to go any higher, he is likely to have to beat Fed in R4.

Wow!
Was finishing off a few Sunday night chores before sitting down to watch Kyle and in the blink of an eye it was over!

Well done Kyle - great result and performance.

Well done Kyle

I did!!!  Thought the tennis started at 7pm UK time so tuned in at 7.10pm to see what was happening and it's all over.  Not complaining though - superb from Kyle.  Hope he can keep it going.

Loving the BBC's comprehensive reports

I think I might just apply for a job. I could probably write a more detailed report from just following live scores.

Nice result, last week on the same courts clearly helped!

Who's next for Kyle?

Fognini or Albot.  They play later today.

Thanks Bob.  Both tough,  both interesting!

At least Kyle hasn't used up too much energy today.  Finished the match in 51 minutes. I would definitely favour Kyle over Albot but as for Fognini, it depends which one turns up. There were so many ups and downs in their 5 setter last year at the French Open.

Albot has certainly made the better start, takes the first set 6-0. Only one game went to deuce.

Ah so an idea of the Fognini that has turned up today though no doubt Albot doing some decent stuff himself.

Now 6-0 *1-2

Be interesting to see how Kyle gets on against the chap who beat Evo back in Florida. Instinctively I think Kyle will have too much power, but Albot will give him a fight

I get the feeling Kyle is tuned up nicely after last week and fit.
