May the momentum stay with him.

Fortunately for Brydan it did - he won 3-6 6-2 6-3.

I think that's 8 matches on the trot that Brydan's won.

Pretty impressive.

Having rooted for him in the predictions last year (and the year before) and then deciding to abandon him completely this year, glad to see that Brydan doesn't give a fig for my prediction kudos !

Brydan won again.

In singles AND doubles:

QF:  (1) Brydan Klein & Scott Puodziunas (AUS) ITF CR 399 (358+41) (ATP CR 734 [372+362]) defeated Alec Adamson & Nick Chappell (USA/USA) ITF CR 406 (106+300) (ATP CR 1629 [853+776]) by 6-1 7-6(9)

I bet Nick Chappell's sick of the sight of him!

SF:  (1) Brydan Klein & Scott Puodziunas (AUS) ITF CR 399 (358+41) (ATP CR 734 [372+362]) vs Edward Bourchier & Harry Bourchier (AUS/AUS) ITF CR 1156 (450+706) (ATP CR 1489 [886+603])

I hope it's the same outcome as in the Albury quarter-final last week.

And it was:

SF:  (1) Brydan Klein & Scott Puodziunas (AUS) ITF CR 399 (358+41) (ATP CR 734 [372+362]) defeated Edward Bourchier & Harry Bourchier (AUS/AUS) ITF CR 1156 (450+706) (ATP CR 1489 [886+603]) by 2-6 6-4 [10-3]

*****

Final:  (1) Brydan Klein & Scott Puodziunas (AUS) ITF CR 399 (358+41) (ATP CR 734 [372+362]) vs Calum Puttergill & Brandon Walkin (AUS/AUS) ITF UNR (624+0) (ATP CR 1422 [730+692])

P & W put out the Taylor brothers, the Aussie second seeds, in straight sets in their quarter-final match.

Brydan has a 2-0 win record v Sekiguchi, including last week in Albury where he won 3 and 2, so should again be favourite for this

Brydan is absolutely flying. So nice to see. I like him, he's a bit of an enigma.

More ATP points for Brydan and some decent money.
Should see some big jumps on his ITF ranking, but not sure it will be enough yet to get direct entry into challengers

Brydan has a strong winning record against Kelly, 5-1 I think it was. But 2 more points here in addition to 1 he has already will only see him rise 5 or 6 places in the week on his atp ranking.

It's 4-1, Jon.  Their last encounter was in the last 64 of the Canberra Challenger (hard) earlier this year, when Brydan won by 4 & 4.

The last two 25K title and RU weeks will no doubt be a big help to Brydan's ITF ranking and however that may help him back into challengers.

Seems all still as clear as mud although I admit I have a bit of a disconnect to these ITF rankings. My brain protests at me truly bothering to get more into the ups and downs and consequences.

Sure not doing much directly for his ATP ranking with the nominal 3 and 1 points moving his ranking up from 380 to a live 370.
