Week 10 - ITF M25 - Mildura, Vic., Australia (grass)

Alexis draws the same opening round opponent as last week!  disbelief

L32:  Alexis Canter ITF 637 vs (4) Shuichi Sekiguchi (JPN) ITF 685 (ATP 399)

And Brydan draws the lad he beat in last week's final!  Let's hope the outcome's the same.

L32:  Matthew Romios (AUS) ITF 604 (ATP 628) vs (2) Brydan Klein ITF 396 (ATP 380)

I'm a bit confused:  the ITF live scoreboard is already showing Brydan as having beating Romios by 1 & 2, the score by which he beat him in the Albury final last week, but in 0 hours & 0 minutes...  confuse

In addition, it's the 2nd match on the sheet when the first hasn't been played yet!

Yes, that's really weird.

I have known, a couple of times, in 15ks, for the match times to be altered because one player asks for it as a favour, and the other guy's OK with it.

There was one tournament in France where one guy really needed (if poss) to play his match in the morning (the matches were due to start in the afternoon) and his opponent said fine, no problem. So the two of them went off and played their match, outside of the system, so to speak. The tournament ref was perfectly happy - can't remember if they had an umpire or not.

It's just possible that happened here.

Or there's an error somewhere?

The score seems to have been changed to 6-3 6-2

But the result is the same

It was just an error from the previous week. The score was showing while the previous match on the OoP was on court.

Nice win though.

It seemed to confuse Steven on Twitter, too.

In singles AND doubles:

QF:  (1) Brydan Klein & Scott Puodziunas (AUS) ITF CR 399 (358+41) (ATP CR 734 [372+362]) defeated Alec Adamson & Nick Chappell (USA/USA) ITF CR 406 (106+300) (ATP CR 1629 [853+776]) by 6-1 7-6(9)

I bet Nick Chappell's sick of the sight of him!

*****

SF:  (1) Brydan Klein & Scott Puodziunas (AUS) ITF CR 399 (358+41) (ATP CR 734 [372+362]) vs Edward Bourchier & Harry Bourchier (AUS/AUS) ITF CR 1156 (450+706) (ATP CR 1489 [886+603])

I hope it's the same outcome as in the Albury quarter-final last week.

Brydan 3-6 3-0* in his singles QF.

May the momentum stay with him.
