...... Interesting times for our top 3 all headed to the 30-50 rank by the summer you feel.
Well whatever anyone feels and after the good weeks here and in Acapulco I thought it might be interesting to see what the total points won have been since the first rankings after Wimbledon 2018. Comes out as :
Kyle 900
Cam 701
Dan 444
Might close further by the summer, might widen, but that's a snapshot of where we stand for points banked re our current top 3 ranked possibly heading much closer together come the Wimbledon conclusion anniversary.
Re the 30-50 rankings range, ATP ranks 30 and 50 currently have 1265 and 941 points respectively.

Rublev missed a fair bit of last season including 2 slams, but I was still surprised to see him ranked outside the top 100 at 112. He was circa 30 this time last year and is a lot better than his current ranking. If he takes the title, he'll climb above Dan and back into the top 100.
Dan stands at exactly 100 in today's rankings, Rublev at 102. Kyle's moved up four places to 23.
Followed Evo through this tournament and although he took a loss in the semis i think it shows great mental strength after the agonising defeat in the Delray final. It would have been easy to A) not have played and B) lost first round.
He must be in a great place at the minute. Things certainly look rosy at the minute! Long may it continue
It is going to be a long trip, they need to manage their forces and do stuff away from the tennis centre or they'll go mad. Some distractions are essential!
Does Dan know what he is going to do after Miami? I know he'll need a decent break. He'll almost certainly make the cut for RG main draw, but will he bother playing many other tournaments on the dirt?

I think Dan should just play Roland Garros and maybe one warm-up event. He is better off playing on hard courts and get his ranking up by winning challengers than playing on the clay (far east challengers maybe?)
Never thought Dan and the Far East got on very well but maybe I'm forgetting some great results and just have a memory of that awful trip (to Korea????).
He's all matey with his 'potes' in France now though, after his league tennis exploits, I'm hoping that'll help with RG.
I know we all want Dan to keep playing while he is on a hot streak and to keep climbing the rankings, but I think he has played more matches on the ATP tour than anyone so far this year (sure I saw that stat somewhere) so somewhere along the line he needs to draw breath and get some rest and maybe a training block. Seems like the clay court season might be a good time to do this and after a short break, comeback fired up for the grass.
Of course I am not suggesting he misses the whole dirtball season but I do think he needs to programme at least some downtime in that period.
