Week 9 - Oracle Challenger ($162,480+H) - Indian Wells, CA, USA (hard)

Kyle has raised the bar here looks a bit more aggressive 2-0 decider. Should win this now. Would be his first win against a top 100 player on a long time. Not that he gets fortunate draws of course.....

Job done as Kyle wins 6-1 in the 3rd. Over to you, Evo.

Well done although Dan beat Harris more comfortably last week. Kyle could rise to 23rd though if he wins the final which seems a big reward for a challenger title given his ranking.

Harris has risen a lot in the last year from future level but cant see him going higher than the 100 mark. Dan beat him easily, he did match Kyle in the second set but Kyle had the power to finish him easily in the 3rd, was only one winner from the first game in the decider. Im wondering how tired Dan will be, hes played a lot of tennis last couple weeks, hopefully he can join Kyle who is surely favourite for the title regardless on who makes it.

Dan struggling a bit so far. 4-1 and a double break down first set.

Very windy out there. Dan just quipped, 'Hurricane Katrina's back!' after one point, which drew a few laughs from the crowd

Dan is 5-2 down, Rublev serves for the set.  Dan has missed some sliced backhands which is unusual.  He's lost plenty of first sets of late, so I'm keeping the faith

Dan really seems to be struggling with the wind out there, a lot of backhand errors. Rublev has been very impressive though, causing Dan a lot of problems with aggressive returning

Dan getting really pumped, shouting at himself to 'find a way'. Seems to be working. Breaks back for 1-1 second set

Evans 2-6, 2-3* Rublev

Rublev breaks for 3-2, just dominating the rallies with really powerful hitting. Dan struggling to live with him. Mangles his racket after conceding the break

Dan is broken to love, his racquet gets the treatment.
