Very much doubt that there will be any needle. Kyle doesn't seem like that kind of person, while Dan has always had a lot of respect for Kyle, based on his comments when they've played in the past
Thanks for the nice comments everyone back ten or so pages....that was cool. I have been busy at work and have not been here....but I have been following the scores....
Funnily enough I fly to SoCal in the morning. I won't be there in time for the Semis....but I will be an hour East for the Final....I might....just might if it is an all British Final see if I can make it....I will be at Indian Wells on Tuesday and Thursday. Will Dan be playing in the qualies?
Um I noticed a bit of friction around Kyles breakfast choice! Agreed, I think they have a lot in common. Both are very passionate about Sport particularly British tennis and immensely proud to represent Britain in DC, they have shared the fantastic experience of winning in the DC and my impression was that even when Kyle beat Dan back in 2016 they were there in part working as a bit of a team with Hilts supporting both. I am sure they both want to win, I would love to see a really competitive tussle should they both make the final. I really dont care who wins as a big fan of both players just that it turns out to be an all British final.

QF: Daniel Evans WR 105 defeated (14) Jason Jung (TPE) WR 135 by 4 & 4
Match time: 1:30:25
Its because the seedlings (to borrow a phrase) arent based on the Monday which the tournament starts. Therefore to answer your earlier question, yes, this could always be an issue for anyone who significantly rises in the rankings in a given week.

Good stuff this evening from both British boys. I make that Dans 11th game in 14 days and doesnt look in bad knick. When do Indian Wells masters Qualies start?
The mens quailes start on the Tuesday according to the ATP website so hopefully Dan can earn himself one rest day..:
First of all, I hope it does come down to an all GB final but I am not counting my chickens. But if it does, who to support as I am a massive fan of both. In truth I won't care to much, but in reality Evo needs points whereas Kyle needs court time, so I might have to swing slightly to the Evo side on this one.
We'll struggle to get to see both Brits at a reasonable time tonight. The first women's match was over in straight sets, but the aforementioned Chinese top seed has just dropped her first set 5-7, so if she does come back to win (or even just take it into a decider), it could be nearer 11pm before Kyle gets on.
Edit - Although that said, Golubic has just gone into a 3-0* lead in the second set, so hopefully she can finish the job in 2.
