Another title for this weekend's collection:

Final:  Scott Clayton & Adil Shamasdin (CAN) CR 308 (166+142) defeated (4) Sander Arends & Sam Weissborn (BEL/AUT) CR 215 (97+118) by 7-6(4) 5-7 [10-8] 

And to think that they seemed to be constantly playing catch-up in the CTB - until the very end, that is!  smile  s

Go Scotty. So good to see him get back on track after his injury problems. He must look at what Jonny is doing and thinking "that could be me as well". It still can Scott. The future is bright.

One thing I keep wondering is why Scott's ranking never seems to improve. Every time I've glanced at his scores the last 6 weeks or so, he always seems to be ranked in the 160s... and even after this win he still is! Although not shown above his current rank this week is actually down at 191, so he must have lost some points, and with the 90 points gained here he is back to 'only' 164 for next week... Adil is up 6 to 138 (he was 144 this week), so in terms of the week old ranks listed here marginal gains only.

Just regarding the last 2 weeks -  re Scott's ranking fall to WR 191 going into this week, he did drop a net 64 points. 93 points from a 25K title and a Challenger title being replaced by 29 points from a challenger SF.

This title adds 90 points so over the 2 weeks he is up a net 26 points and up from WR 166 to 164.
