Think I'll be struggling to stay up for Jo tonight. This time yesterday the match before Katie was just about over. Still early days in the Gavrilova-Buzarnescu second set. Had Jo followed Sloan then it would have been a different story.
Although that said, Buzarnescu has won 3 games in a row and leads 6-4 4-2* so it might not have too much left in it. Would be good to see Buz win as she's literally not won a match since getting injured against Svitolina at either Cincy or Canada before the US Open.

Had to come through a reasonably tight service hold, a couple of deuces (although I don't think there was a BP) and now Jo has just broken to love so in a commanding position. *3-2
Very good performance there, in complete control. 6-3 6-2, great to see. Not totally writing off Flink, but more likely to be Anisimova up next and that should be a very interesting match up.

Anisimova retired early on in the 1st set (4-3) and not sure why so it's Flink.

Yeah, illness apparently, so a better draw on paper for Jo and (you'd assume) no lengthy lay off for Amanda which is good as she missed about 6 months through injury around this time last year. Heard of her, but don't think I've seen a Flink match so should get the chance here.
Jo with the now common slot for GB players here, second after 10pm tonight.
